SHIMNA Integrated College in Newcastle was pleased to welcome Claudia Cocozza, from the University of the Arts London, for a series of informative and inspiring sessions with Sixth Form students.
Claudia delivered three presentations designed to support students as they prepare for university life.
The first session introduced students to UAL, highlighting the range of creative courses and opportunities available.
This was followed by a practical finance workshop, offering valuable advice on managing money, balancing study with part-time work, and general tips applicable to any university setting.
The final session focused on university applications, with guidance on writing personal statements, developing portfolios, and preparing for interviews.
Joanne Poland, Shimna College assistant vice-principal, said: “Although the sessions were led by a UAL representative, the content was relevant to students applying to any university.
“The visit was a fantastic first hand opportunity for students to gain insight into the university experience and receive expert advice as they plan their next steps.”
