A FUNDRAISER in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust takes place at the Dufferin Arms in Killyleagh next Friday night, October 5.
The event — which starts at 7pm — features music by Conal, John Lynas and Alan McKelvey and will be raising money for an organisation which helped the family of 56 year-old Killyleagh man Jim Thompson.
Mr Thompson sadly died from a heart attack last June, just eight days into a two-week holiday in Benidorm with his son, James.
The fundraising event also features raffles and prizes and is being organised by Mr Thompson’s family in support of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust which helped get Jim home after he sadly passed away on Father’s Day.
The Trust was set up to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the bodies of loves ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances.
Mr Thompson’s family described the Trust as “wonderful” as it helped them sorted everything out after Mr Thompson died.
The family said they could not have coped without the help of the organisation.
