Supporters’ Club awards night at Hilltown venue

DOWN Supporters’ Club recently held their awards night for last season in Hilltown after the event was originally delayed due to Covid-19.

At the ceremony, senior football player of the year Barry O’Hagan was presented with the Declan Greenan Memorial Cup.

A small presentation was also made to the Down camogie girls in recognition of what they have achieved over the past few years and especially to honour their All-Star awards.

The six camogs who were awarded All-Stars for last year were Fionnuala Carr, Sara- Louise Graffin, Dearbhla Magee, Sorcha McCartan, Paula O’Hagan and player of the year on the soaring intermediate stars team, Niamh Mallon.

McCartan was unavailable to receive her award on the night due to playing in the Cork club championship. However, her trophy has been delivered to her home.
