Skye secures silver medal

SKYE Sands was the sole representative from the locally-based Lightfoot Judo School to take part in the Leinster Judo Open last week.

The Strathearn Grammar School student won a silver medal in the Cadet girls age group, jut a year after winning a bronze medal in the same event.

Skye has been working hard in training and getting as much competition experience as she can as preparation for next week’s Irish Judo Open.
