Shimna students excel during law programme

STUDENTS from Shimna Integrated College in Newcastle have successfully completed the Attorney General’s Living Law Programme.

The five students are Reanne Johnston, Adas Buivydas, Holly Buckhurst, Chloe Williamson and Cara Goodridge.

The students had travelled to the law courts in Belfast and Stormont, among other venues throughout the year to take part in the programme.

Reanne said: “My favourite thing about the Living Law Programme was getting to watch real proceedings at the courts and visiting the Assembly at Stormont.

“It was also really interesting to learn about different aspects of Law and discover that there are more job opportunities than just being a barrister.”

Unfortunately , the students were unable to attend the presentation ceremony to receive their certificates.
