Seaforde members share Christmas joy with competition

20 December 2023

THE president, Annabel Cleland, welcomed the members and guests of Seaforde Women’s Institute to their December meeting.

The competition for a handmade tree ornament was won by the president, with Sally Broome second and Lorraine Bothwell third.

The ballot was won by Sally McCurry, with Lynn Green second and Lorraine Bothwell third.

A ballot for a hamper kindly donated by Tesco of Newcastle was won by Hilda Fleming and raised over £300 which will go towards expenses.

The ladies had prepared a feast, after which the games were games played. It was a memorable night Seaforde WI thank all who have supported them through 2023 and wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy New Year.

The January meeting will take place in Seaforde YFC Hall on January 8 at 7.30pm. The guest speakers will be John and Heather Knipe, who will talk about their cycle trips. The competition will be for a holiday photograph.
