Saintfield Christmas Santa run

Saintfield Christmas Santa run

11 November 2015

THE countdown is on for the annual Saintfield Christmas charity ride which will be held on Saturday, December 5.

Ride organiser, Joan Cunningham, is also delighted that North Down Marquees has renewed its sponsorship for the 2015 ride.

The day starts at 11am with everyone arriving at the starting point of Saintfield Livestock Mart for a mulled wine and mince pie reception.

At 12 noon the Santas move out  and by 1pm Saintfield Main Street will be swarming with red-clad riders and supporters.

Live music from Panache will add to the atmosphere and comedian Terence McKeag will be there to keep everyone in craic.

Later the charity ride will then make its way back to the Mart where lunch will be served and Santa will be on hand to take the children’s lists. Prizes will be presented in all age groups to the best dressed Santas.

There will be great prizes for whoever raises the most sponsorship. Entrance to the marquee is free and anyone wanting to have lunch can do so for a donation of £5, with children free. The ride is strictly a hack, is suitable for all riders and costs £20 for adults and £10 for children which includes the mulled wine reception and lunch.
