RNLI fundraising a big success

RNLI fundraising a big success

26 February 2014

A fundraising quiz supporting the lifesaving work of the RNLI on the Co Down coast has raised £736.

The quiz was held on Friday night in the Harbour House Inn in Newcastle and was attended by a large number of supporters, friends and lifeboat personnel.

During the event a raffle was held and the top prize was a two-night break for two in Enniskillen’s Killyhevlin Hotel, plus the use of a car kindly donated by Charles Hurst Kia.

The winner of the raffle was Emlyn Williamson.

The quiz proved a highly enjoyable night for all who took part and Newcastle RNLI would like to thank the businesses and people who so generously supported the event.

The RNLI is a charity wholly supported by donations, subions and legacies, and fundraising events such as Friday night’s quiz are essential to maintain its round-the-clock rescue service around the coasts of the UK and Ireland.
