Police make appeal for information after attack

A SERIOUS assault in Ballynahinch has left two men with slash wounds.

Shortly after 4am on Saturday morning police were called to the Windmill Gardens area and found two men who later received hospital treatment for their injuries.

The 21 year-old man received two slash wounds to his back and bruising to his body and a 20 year-old man received a slash wound to the back of his head, a suspected broken nose and bruising to his face and body.

Their injuries are not understood to be life threatening.

Four males aged 21, 20, 19 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
