Photographers continue busy autumn season

20 November 2013

THE members of Ballynahinch Camera and Digital Imaging Club have had a busy couple of weeks.

The special guest speaker on November 7 was Raymond Hughes from Merville Photographic Club. Raymond gave an interesting, entertaining and thought-provoking demonstration on audio-visual presentations.

His work ranged from a very funny sequence of images, accompanied by appropriate music of a cat playing with a mouse, to very sombre images of war and personal loss. Raymond’s presentation will have inspired members to raise their game for the club Slide Show Evening which will be held on January 9.

The meeting held on November 14 saw members reaching for their cameras for a portrait shoot. The club’s studio lights and back were brought into play and these gave members the opportunity to take photographs of a more professional type than usual.

The more experienced photographers shared their expertise with the less accomplished and many good images were captured of model and club member, Garvin Pollock.

Club Chairman, Andrew McLaughlin, informed members that next week’s meeting would take the form of a table quiz. All members and friends would be most welcome to this annual event. Further details of club activities can be obtained from www.the-bhcc.co.uk.
