A SAINTFIELD schoolgirl has raised over £600 for Friends of the Cancer Centre.
Phoebe Moore held a bun sale at Academy Primary School recently to raise money for the charity at Belfast City Hospital.
As a P7 pupil Phoebe wanted to carry out the fundraiser before leaving primary school.
With the help of her friends, Phoebe’s sale raised £605.96.
Phoebe and her father, Ian, would like to thank Vivo, Granny Greta’s, Maxol, Joanne from Saints Bites in Saintfield town and parents and pupils at the school who provided buns for the sale.
“They all very kindly donated buns after being approached and it was very much appreciated indeed,” Mr Moore said.
“Thanks to the school for letting Phoebe have the sale and massive thanks to all of Phoebe’s friends who helped with the actual sale, they were brilliant.
“We were all blown away by how much the bun sale raised,” he added.
Anyone interested in holding a bun sale or other event to raise money for Friends of the Cancer Centre can get in touch with the charity.
