Philip stands down after brilliant year

3 June 2015

PHILIP Campbell has stepped down as the manager of Rossglass County first team.

Philip guided the club to an unprecedented, unbeaten run on their way to winning their first ever league title last year, he also guided the team to the semi-final of the Bobby Dalzell Cup and final of the Shimna Cup.

The club would like to place on record their appreciation to Philip for all his hard work and dedication over the past two years, not just as a manager, but also as a vital component on the club’s committee.

To this end, the club is now seeking applications for a first team manager. All enquiries to be made through 07533 563788. We are also seeking applications for coaches for our juvenile teams, again applications through this number.

The club’s AGM will be held on Tuesday, June 23, in the Downpatrick Leisure Centre at 7pm, where we hope to see a good turn out from players and parents. We will be hoping for vital administrative nominations to committee, so if anyone would be interested please contact the [resent committee.

The U-17s have a friendly organised for Saturday, June 20 and, as preparation for this, will train on Saturday at 11am. All past, existing and new players are welcome.
