November trial date for man accused of murder

3 July 2013

THE trial of a Newcastle man, accused of murdering his cousin, will take place in November.

Thirty one year-old John Stanley Foster is accused of murdering David Mills in Ballynahinch on September 30 last year.

At Belfast Crown Court on Friday, Foster, of Corrigs Road, denied the charge when he appeared for his arraignment.

Legal representatives told Mr Justice Weir that the trial, which is set to begin in Downpatrick on November 25, will take between two and two-and-a-half weeks.

Foster was remanded on continuing bail.
