THE inspirational new Donard Fundraising Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care took to the airwaves this week.
Local woman Alice Anderson told the moving story of how she lost her beloved daughter Michelle Ranaghan to ovarian cancer, while she herself battled with breast cancer to Stephen Nolan’s BBC Radio Ulster show.
In a recent article for the Down Recorder Alice detailed her devastating loss while highlighting the fantastic work carried out by Marie Curie Cancer Care and their nurses.
Following their radio interview, Alice, along with Jacqui Mason from the Donard Fundraising Group, presented Stephen with a mouth-watering selection of buns so he could have his own ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ afterwards in support of Marie Curie’s current campaign.
