MEMBERS of the NSPCC’s Newcastle branch have been recognised for their support and commitment at an event held at Belfast City Hall.

The volunteers were described as “worthy ambassadors” for the organisation’s work in Northern Ireland and praised for their commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Among the volunteers commended for their dedication at the recognition event at City Hall was Newcastle woman Judith Smyth who gives her time to the ChildLine Schools Service.

Also recognised were members of the NSPCC Newcastle Fundraising Committee, Anne Davey, Sheila Doran and Moyna Tyson.
