IRISH rugby legend Fergus Slattery was at Ballynahinch Rugby Club on Friday night.
The former Ireland, Lions and Barbarians star was the guest speaker at the club’s annual awards dinner which was attended by 160 players, members and guests.
The master of ceremonies was Philip Gregg, club chairman, and the final speaker was Colin Barkley.
Individual team player of the year awards were as follows: sevenths (Evergreen Cup), David Murdock; sixths (Castlewellan Cup), William Truesdale; fifths (Club Council Cup), Stewart Hodges; fourths (Brown-Morton Cup), William Edgar; thirds (Skinny Cup), Jordan Graham; U-20 player of the year (Alver McCune Memorial Cup), John Donnan; young player of the year (Will Hawthorn Cup), Aaron Cairns; seconds (Jack Bailey Cup), Jordy McMullan; firsts (Neil Robinson Cup ) Stuart Morrow and David McGuigan (joint); clubman of the year, Ian Dornan.
