NEWCASTLE Lions Club are hosting a Big Breakfast in aid of the Daisy Lodge Cancer Fund for Children facility this weekend.
The event will take place on Saturday from 10am to 12noon at the Riot Centre, Manse Road, in Dundrum and a donation of £10.00 per plate is encouraged.
Daisy Lodge is a purpose-built therapeutic centre located in Newcastle, helping to ease the burden for families across the island of Ireland affected by childhood cancer.
On Thursday morning, Newcastle Lions President Beth Cairnduff met with the Lions team to finalise plans for the fundraising event.
Beth hopes the Big Breakfast will be well-supported and all donations raised will be added to that already raised during the Daisy Dander held recently on Newcastle Promenade.
September is an important month for Lions clubs throughout Ireland as they are encouraged to promote the issue of childhood cancer.
