Killinchy firm wins medal for coleslaw

KILLINCHY firm Willowbrook Foods has won a bronze medal for the cheese coleslaw it produces.

The presentation was made at the recent Blas na hEireann Awards/Irish Food Awards held in Dingle.

Willowbrook Farm was established in 1968 on land farmed by the McCann family for over 200 years on the shores of Strangford Lough.

The Killinchy firm, a specialist in growing and packing fresh pre-packed salads, potatoes and vegetables, works with local growers, farms and neighbours to help them a deliver a taste of Northern Ireland to the world.

Willowbrook Foods currently employs 240 people at processing plants in Killinchy and Newtownards.
