A BALLYNAHINCH teenager has won the Irish Dancing World Championship title — for the second year running.

Nineteen year-old Caoimhín Morgan took home the senior men’s title by dancing a heavy jig, reel and a modern set dance at the final event in Drogheda.

A member of the Murray School of Dancing in Ballynahinch since he was just five, Caoimhín keeps on top of his practice despite now reading accounting and finance at the University of Liverpool.

Returning home regularly to attend dancing classes, he said he had always wanted to win a World Championship title, but never dreamt he would do so two years in a row.

“I have been dancing for 14 years and I love it,” he said.

“I would love to dance in one of the big shows eventually. That would be my goal.”
