Horse course for Danielle

AN Ardglass teenager is on her way to making horses her career.

Danielle Fallon is beginning a course in Horse Management in CAFRE (College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise) in Enniskillen.

The 16 year-old said all career options were open from breeding, eventing, and even training to become a jockey, in what is still a male dominated environment.

“I wanted to do this course from a young age,” said Danielle. “I always wanted to work with horses. I started riding when I was seven years-old and loved it.”

Danielle went on to attend riding schools and recently spent time at Niall Fitzsimons’ stud farm in Ardglass leaning aspects of horse care.

“It has been extremely helpful, she said.
