CARRYDUFF hairdresser Keith Kane has notched up a record breaking 18th nomination for the title of Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year.
Keith won the title previously in 2008 and 2010, and a third win will see him inducted into British hairdressing’s Hall of Fame.
The finalists chosen as part of Hairdressing Journal’s British Hairdressing Awards 2013 followed an intense period of judging. Each of the categories were anonymously judged by a selection of the industry’s leading lights, including Hall of Fame members and past and present winners of the British Hairdresser of the Year accolade.
Keith said he was delighted to have been selected as a finalist for the Northern Ireland heat of the British Hairdressing Awards.
“The competition is fiercely fought with so many talented entrants but I am delighted to have been nominated for the 18th time,” he said. “I have previously won the award twice, but to achieve a third win and enter the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame would be a dream come true.
“I work tirelessly throughout the year watching trends and gaining inspiration for the competition collection and it’s a part of my work that I thoroughly enjoy. All eyes will be in London in November when the winner will be revealed and fingers crossed I can bring the trophy back to the salon in Carryduff, it would be a great accolade to share with my staff and customers”.
The winners will be announced at the British Hairdressing Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on November 25, 2012.
