Gearing up for Skiffieworlds

DUNDRUM Coastal Rowing Club will host a taster session next month as part of a European programme to encourage outdoor sports.

Participants will be introduced to competitive rowing  as part of ‘Flow – Get into Watersports’ on May 14 and 15.

Dundrum Coastal Rowing Club is preparing for the SkiffieWorlds, which will come to Strangford Lough between July 25 and 30 where 50+ skiffs will compete in the championship. There will be 21 race categories in the championship event, which has attracted over 50 skiff entries.

After the May taster session, the Dundrum club will establish a training programme to select teams in the various age categories to enter SkiffieWorlds.
