THE funeral will take place tomorrow of the Leitrim man who died in Australia last month.
Requiem Mass for Ryan Doyle will take place at noon at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Leitrim. He will then be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
Twenty-five year-old Mr. Doyle had recently emigrated to Australia and died after falling from a moving taxi in Perth on November 19.
The bricklayer and talented football player, who lived in Perth with his two older brothers, was among 40 young people from the area who had moved to Australia.
Australian police believe the driver of the taxi accelerated as Mr. Doyle was getting out of the vehicle after a dispute about the fare.
Police were called to the Belmont area of Perth where they found the young man lying on the road with serious injuries. He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he later died.
The taxi driver has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Following his death fundraising efforts got underway to help raise the money needed to bring his body home.
