Four assaulted during armed robbery

POLICE have appealed for information after a five man gang attacked four people during an armed robbery in Carryduff last night.

The incident occurred at a house on the Ballynahinch Road when the five masked men, one armed with a suspected firearm and one with a baton, forced their way into the house at around 7pm.

The intruders assaulted a man and woman before tying them up. Another man and woman who called at the property during the incident were also assaulted and tied up by the gang. 

 

The robbers demanded money from the occupants before making off with a sum of cash. The men and women sustained a number of injuries as a result and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them at Lisburn Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 1304 of 20/07/16.
