THE Downpatrick venison processing firm of Finnebrogue has won a major battle with the Planning Service.
Finnebrogue has been given planning approval to retain an extension erected to its farm game handling plant which had attracted 42 letters of objection.
Planners had initially wanted the extension removed but have now accepted it can stay.
Finnebrogue is one of Down District’s major success stories, employing over 150 people. It recently won a major £50m order for Marks and Spencer providing its top tier sausages to stores in the UK and Ireland.
