A DROMARA man has appeared in court to face over 60 charges of child sex abuse.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his alleged victim, pleaded not guilty to most of the charges but admitted 16 counts at Downpatrick Crown Court yesterday.
These relate to engaging in sexual activity with a child.
The charges in total include rape, gross indecency with a child, indecent assault on a female child, unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 14 and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2004 and 2010.
The accused was remanded in custody to appear back in court in February for a two-week trial.
