A STUDENT at Blackwater Integrated College in Downpatrick has been named “entrepreneur of the year” in the 2012-13 KEY Programme organised by Young Enterprise NI.
Alastair Campbell, along with ten other students from the Downpatrick school, participated in three residential courses which also involved their peers from schools in Belfast and Monaghan.
Students undertook a range of activities to develop their business skills and their abilities to work in teams. They also had a day’s training in interview skills then experienced mock interviews carried out by local business people.
Alastair now has the opportunity to compete for a place on the Northern Ireland team that will represent the Province at the world finals in Canada.
