DUNDRUM Cricket Club held a very successful and well attended annual presentation night with parents juniors and members enjoying a fabulous carvery meal in O’Hare’s, Newcastle.

The highlight was a special presentation to Jack Curlett who is retiring from treasurer after 50 years as a club office bearer.

The awards were as follows: 1st team player of the year and all rounder, Gavin McNerlin; leading run scorer, Dave Watson; 2nd team James Martin; young player of the year, Scott Symington; club man of the year was shared by coaches Dan O’Donoghue and Mark Davis; Joel Maguire couldn’t attend, possibly because he won the Duck Trophy with five in total.

The junior awards went to the following: U-15 player of the year, Greg Wilson, U-15 all rounder, Scott Symington; U-13 Terry Hutley and Andrew Foster; U-11 Spike Davis and Greg Hutley.

The bowling awards went to (U-15) Greg Stewart, (U-13) Andrew Foster and (U-11) Stuart Campbell.

The club AGM will be held on Monday, November 6, in the pavilion at 7pm. Let’s have another good turn out for the most important meeting of the year and there is a work party this Sunday at 1pm.
