A STUNNING photograph of sunrise over Dundrum Bay has been shortlisted in a national competition.
The picture, taken by Castlewellan woman Cristin Williams of the view from her childhood home in the hills around the town, has been entered in the #MyHappyPlace competition.
Cristin (30) said the photograph, showing the sunrise over Dundrum Bay and Murlough Nature Reserve has many happy memories for her.
“It is a happy place for me because not only do I have many happy memories of the house I grew up in, but also of finding conkers in the woods to the left of the picture, sledding in the winter snow down the hills in the fields pictured, and of course on the beach in Murlough, playing in the sand dunes and swimming in the summer,” she said.
The competition asks people all over the UK to share a photo of a place which makes them feel happy when they’re ill, injured or simply feeling down.
#MyHappyPlace is for entries open until February 18 and you can find details and enter your photo at https://www.national-accident-helpline.co.uk/personal-injury-claims/recovering-your-injury.html/myhappyplace
