Construction company to sponsor Saintfield show

SAINTFIELD Horse Show will once again be sponsored by construction company, Mivan.

The show will take place on Saturday, September 1st, on landed owned by Mr. Jim Prentice at Oughley Road in the town.

Joan Cunningham, Showjumping Director of Saintfield Horse Show said everyone is again delighted to welcome Mivan as the major sponsor.

Dr. Ivan McCabrey, Chief Executive of Mivan, said: “Mivan is delighted to be sponsoring Saintfield Horse Show once again.

“We have worked alongside Joan for a number of years now and it’s obvious the show is fast becoming one of the most popular shows in Northern Ireland. Joan and her team work very hard to make sure the show runs like clockwork.”

There will be horse and pony showjumping with courses designed by international course designer Raymond Jess; working hunter classes with a course designed by David McClurg; ridden ponies, in-hand showing, lead rein, ridden hunters, happy hackers, miniature horses, Shetland ponies and donkeys.

There will be pet dog classes and lots of amusements for the children.

Some of the highlights of the day will be The Donkey Derby, with £1,000 to the winner’s choice of charity, taking place at 2.30pm. In the Mivan Ardnavalley Marquee there will be Saintfield’s Got Talent which is open to everyone with £500 to the winner’s choice of charity and lots of other prizes to be won This takes place at 3.00pm. A new addition this year is the most appropriately dressed lady competition.
