Clubs support Finlay with trike

THE fundraising efforts of two motorsport clubs have enabled a Saintfield family to purchase a special mobility trike for their son Finlay who suffers from cerebral palsy.

The Blaine family have this week thanked members of the Peak Performance Motor Club and the Thoroughbreed Sports Car Club for both holding recent events.

The Peak Performance Club held an autotest last January at Tony Patterson’s sports grounds in Saintfield, with the Thoroughbred Club holding a similar event the following month at North Down Grains in Newtownards.

As a result of the combined efforts of the two sports clubs and other donations, the Blaine family has been able to buy the special trike for six year-old Finlay.

The Blaine family say they are indebted to the sports clubs for organising the events, the people who supported them and those who made donations which will enable Blaine to use his mobility trike until he is 15.
