DRAMARAMA, a Castlewellan-based children’s drama group, held its fifth annual Christmas show in the Lodge on Sunday.
Children as young as three performed to a packed out hall, with a myriad of festive dramas on offer.
First to the stage were a choral verse group of five girls who delighted the audience with a selection of Christmas poetry, followed by the ‘Ragamuffins’ who told the story of Christmas from the animals’ perspective.
The ‘Scallywags’ also brought the event to a close with their performance of Hugh Smith’s Mrs Claus and the Mafiosa Mammas.
Proceeds from the night went to the Northern Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.
Michelle Dorans, who runs Dramarama, said: “Thank you to all those who came and supported the show and the charity Children’s Hospice where all the proceeds went to.
“It was a fantastic day the Ragamuffins and Scallywags were amazing; all true stars growing all the time”.
