BRYANSFORD have issued a warning that they are not going to give up their Down league title without a fight.

Frank Dawson’s men showed that they still have plenty of attacking prowess as they demolished Glenn by 2-22 to 1-8 in a completely one-sided Division 1 encounter at St. Patrick’s Park last Friday night. 

However, Mayobridge proved that they still are one of the top teams in the county as they dismissed Warrenpoint 3-15 to 0-9.

The ‘Bridge moved Conor Garvey from full back to midfield for the second half and this proved to be the masterstroke that guided them to the two points.

On Thursday night a struggling Aghaderg were choked on the road to Teconnaught. Kyran Smyth guided his team to a facile 3-15 to 0-3 win.

On Friday night promotion chasing Aughlisnafin got over a difficult first half to eventually see off Ardglass, 1-13 to 0-9. Shane Mooney top scored with 0-8.

St. Paul’s were convincing victors over Bright as they extended the Ballynoe men 2-15 to 1-9.

Goals from Paul McComiskey, Kyle Glavin and Mark Smith helped Dundrum to a straightforward 3-15 to 1-12 triumph over Mitchels.

Three late points from Teconnaught against Dundrum saw them move into second place and a step closer to promotion. Teconnaught won 1-10 to 1-7.
