Ballynahinch fete Schmidt

IRELAND coach Joe Schmidt was the guest of honour at Ballymacarn Park on Friday when 160 members and guests enjoyed an excellent lunch followed by a question and answer session, conducted by club chairman Philip Gregg.

He was his usual humble self as he described his coaching philosophy and the journey he has been on over the past 15 years and it was a wonderful afternoon for all in attendance.

Despite his tight time schedule, Joe took the time to mingle with those present and was a complete gentleman throughout. He left laden down with goodies from local producers and the cheers of the Ballynahinch faithful ringing in his ears as he continues the build up to his swan-song at next year’s World Cup.
