Aimee jumps for joy at NI Championship

A YOUNG Portaferry girl is a Northern Ireland trampolining champion.

Aimee Robinson won the novice girls category for 9-10 year-olds at the recent NI championships.

Aimee Robinson competed in the largest section of the regional contest and beat 19 other girls to bring home the gold.

Aimee is a member of Portaferry Trampoline Club and also regularly participates in the range of trampoline courses run by Ards Borough Council at Portaferry Sports Centre.

Gail O’Neill, trampolining coach at Portaferry Sports Centre, said: “Aimee deserves high praise. To win such a prestigious competition is an outstanding achievement at her age and she should be very proud of her success.”

Ards Borough Council runs trampoline courses at Portaferry Sports Centre and Ards Leisure Centre throughout the year.
