PUPILS from Our Lady and St Patrick Primary School in Downpatrick commemorated the 80th anniversary Victory in Europe Day last Thursday.
To mark the end of their World War 2 topic, P4 children created their own artefacts with the help of their parents and grandparents, and hosted an exhibition in the Down County Museum.
A spokesperson said: “It was a very busy morning with lots of visitors coming to see their wonderful creations. The children loved talking about their work and amazed the visitors with their knowledge of World War 2.
“The children would like to thank everyone who visited the exhibition and Michael Arlow, Down County Museum’s Education Officer, for giving them the opportunity to display their work in such an exceptional and well-matched environment.
