TRIBUTES have been paid to three Crossgar gardeners who have done their bit for the Westlands estate.
Pat Teggart, chairman of Crossgar Community Association has praised Raymond Brown and Nan and Gary Gordon who are keen gardeners with “two of the best gardens in Crossgar.”
He said in 2013 Raymond and Gary contacted Down Council regarding the condition of the flower beds at the entrance to the Westlands estate.
“The council officers listened to the two residents and accepted their points and have now planted flowers twice a year in the beds,” he said.
“On behalf of the community association and residents of Westlands we would like to express our thanks and gratitude for all their hard work and effort,” said Paul.
