ONE third of the South Eastern Regional College’s Pearson and ULA Level 3 Extended Diploma course students attained triple distinctions or higher which corresponds to three A grades or higher at A-Level.
Some students are progressing to higher education, or a combination of further studies and employment through programmes such as the Higher-Level Apprenticeships, while some students who have completed their courses are progressing to the workplace.
Kacper Szewcyk, from Ballynahinch, attained triple distinction stars in a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in IT, with Debbie O’Neill from Killyleagh achieving two distinction stars and a distinction.

Ashleen Carvill, from Drumaness, successfully completed her Level 3 Diploma for Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Ashleen gained valuable work experience through placement in daycare, playgroup and school settings.
And Spa student Christopher Lyons successfully completed his BTEC Level 3 Engineering (Mechatronics) course achieving an overall Distinction and two Merits. Christopher is progressing to a Higher-Level Apprenticeship in Engineering.
