STEFAN Flanagan stormed to victory in Jim Logue’s President’s Day at St Patrick’s Golf Club on Saturday with 42 points.
Over 170 players took part with Flanagan just pipping David Ross to the coveted first prize by one point.
James Gilgunn was third and Brendan Doherty fourth after both returned with 40 points.
Colin Gibson won the guests’ prize with 38 points and Dale Baker lifted the gross prize with a 71. Adrian Carson won his fifth past president’s prize, beating last year’s president Geraldine Gray, on the back nine.
Tom Higgins won the seniors’ prize with 34 points, Michael McAllister won the seniors’ gold category with 38 points and and Brian Jennings won the family prize with 35 points.
Sheena Burke won the ladies’ prize with 42 points ahead of Geraldine Magill on 35 points and Twyla Gibson lifted the gross prize with an 85.
The shot of the day was struck by Hilary McLaughlin, who recorded a hole-in-one at the 18th.
Meanwhile, Terry Lowry lifted the Lecale Cup on Sunday with 40 points. Michael George was second with 37 points.
