Seaforde man Eugene raises thousands for Marie Curie

A SEAFORDE man has gone to great lengths to raise money for a cancer charity by

growing his crowning glory and beard.

Eugene Gibney grew his silver hair and beard over a period of several months and raised a whopping £2,116 for Marie Curie.

Before and after pictures show just how much of a difference the charitable move made to Eugene’s appearance, but he is now back to being clean shaven.

Eugene and his wife Lila want to thank everyone who donated to his fund-raising effort through their Just Giving page and via a bucket collection at Clough’s Eurospar.

They also paid tribute to French’s Cafe and Bistro, Clough, for its generous gift to the cause.
