Police appeal after assault

POLICE investigating an assault in Newcastle last weekend have issued an appeal for information.

They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the play park off Burrendale Park Close around 9pm last Saturday evening and may have observed a number of young people.

Anyone who can assist officers is asked to get in touch using the non-emergency 101 number quoting reference 1665 of 26/07/25.

Information can also be provided anonymously via the confidential Crimestoppers number 0800 555111.
