Police appeal after accident outside Clough

POLICE have issued an appeal for information following a car accident outside Clough last week.

A woman and two children — who were in a grey Volkswagen Polo — were taken to hospital with what have been described as “serious injuries” following the single vehicle accident on the Downpatrick Road.

Medical attention was provided to the injured woman and children before they were transported to the hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

The accident happened at 6.10pm last Thursday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene with a number of roads in the area closed as a result of the accident.

Police say their enquiries into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing and have appealed to anyone with information that can help them,.

Officers are particularly keen to gear from anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has any dashcam footage.
