Lobster Pot one of the top rural pubs in Ulster

A STRANGFORD hostelry has been named one of the top three rural pubs in Northern Ireland.

The Lobster Pot restaurant and bar was a finalist in the rural category at the prestigious Hospitality Ulster Pub of the Year Awards at the Ramada Plaza, Belfast, recently.

Situated in the heart of Strangford overlooking the lough, The Lobster Pot was described by the judges as cosy and comfortable with friendly, welcoming service.

They said the front bar is a relaxing place to enjoy a pint by the wood burning stove.

The front restaurant is an extension of the bar and with its soft furnishings, historical pictures and delicate lighting provides a relaxing dinning experience.

The rear function room is light and spacious, double doors lead to a hidden beer garden, making it a wonderful room for private dining, parties and small weddings.
