Life Change presentation

MEMBERS of the Life Change, Changes Lives charity in Downpatrick made a special presentation last week to a senior official from the National Trust.

Geoff Magill — who is the Trust’s volunteering and community participation manager —was presented with a coffee table that two members at the charity’s Market Street base upscaled. It was previously located in one of the National Trust’s offices at Castle Ward.

Last August, when charity members attended a craft festival at Castle Ward, Geoff lent them the table to set their paint and brushes on, while they were demonstrating their art on the front lawn at the picturesque estate.

The charity members noticed the table was in a very poor state and said they would like to take it away and upscale it which Geoff happily agreed to.

After transforming it, the members handed the table back to Geoff last Wednesday afternoon.
