LECALE Trinity Grammar School have been involved in a project designed to help Year 9 pupils transition confidently to their new learning environment in September.

The Lasallian site recently played host to an inspiring and action-packed Campus Connect Project.

“This exciting initiative was more than just a campus tour – it was a celebration of learning, creativity, and connection,” a spokesperson for the school said.

“Over the course of eight dynamic days, students engaged in a wide range of activities that sparked curiosity, built confidence, and encouraged collaboration.”

In partnership with Finnebrogue, pupils were challenged to design a healthy meal from concept to pitch.

This hands-on project included nutritional planning and food content analysis, costing and budgeting, branding, marketing and food labelling, allergy awareness and testing and pitching their ideas in a Dragon’s Den-style presentation.

The experience culminated when winning teams recently presented their ideas to a panel from Finnebrogue and the school’s senior management team.

Throughout the week, pupils were inspired by guest speakers from Learn Spark and Women’s Aid NI, who shared valuable insights and life lessons.

The winning team were Munch A Bowl who were delighted to pick up their winning vouchers from Finnebrogue. Students also took part in CPR awareness training and enjoyed team-building games led by the EA Youth Service.

“The project was packed with inclusive, imaginative workshops and team-based challenges, all designed to help students connect with peers, build resilience and grow in capability – all while having fun,” the spokesperson remarked.

“To wrap up the week, the Finnebrogue Foodtruck rolled onto campus, serving up delicious treats and celebrating the students’ hard work and creativity.”

The spokesperson addee: “The Campus Connect Project was a resounding success, leaving pupils not only better prepared for their next academic chapter but also more confident, connected and inspired.”
