Juvenile prizewinners at Loughinisland

2 December 2020

LOUGHINISLAND GAC held their socially distanced juvenile presentation outdoors at the club on Sunday morning.

Unfortunately, the club was unable to host all the juvenile members in the usual way to commend them for their efforts.

Instead individual awards were presented to those playing in the competitive age groups. The awards were presented by senior players Jonny Flynn and Rory Mason.

Minor girls: Jessica O’Hare (player of the year) and Mia Carvill (sportsperson of the year).

U-14 girls: Orlaith Valentine and Katie McGeown (joint players of the year) and Anna Murray (sportsperson of the year).

U-17 boys: Oisin Savage (player of the year) and Shea O’Toole (sportsperson of the year).

U-15 boys: James Savage and Cormac Magorrian (joint players of the year) and Dan Smyth (sportsperson of the year).

U-13 boys: Eunan Magorrian (player of the year), Matthew McGlew (sportsperson of the year) and Senan McAlarney (most improved player).

Well done to all the juvenile members on their commitment in this unusual year. The club was glad to have had a shortened season at least and that the young members really enjoyed the return to sports. The club looks forward to an even better season in 2021.
