THE Saint Patrick Centre will launch its autumn series of In Conversation talks next month with Sue Gray, Baroness Gray of Tottenham, CBE. 

The talk will take place on Thursday, September 25, at 7.30pm.

Baroness Gray has held a number of senior positions in both the UK and Northern Ireland Civil Services, with a career spanning several decades focused on public administration, governance and standards in public life. 

She served as Second Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Office, where she was responsible for ethics and propriety and led a number of high-profile internal investigations. Prior to that, she held various roles across Whitehall, earning a reputation for managing complex and sensitive issues. 

In 2024, Baroness Gray was appointed Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, having previously left the Civil Service to support the Opposition Leader in a similar capacity and this year was appointed to the House of Lords, and became Chair of Consello UK.

Baroness Gray will be in Conversation with barrister and public affairs professional Caroline Feeney.

Caroline has held political and diplomatic roles with both the Office of Senator Hillary Clinton in Washington and at the British Embassy to the Holy See.

She served as Political Director of the SDLP, held senior leadership roles at Staffline Ireland, and served as Chief Executive of the educational charity the Goliath Trust.

The Saint Patrick Centre’s In Conversation series invites well-known figures to discuss their life and times in keeping with the Centre’s objective of reaching out, cultivating common ground and promoting understanding and reconciliation.

Previous conversations have included a wide range of interviewees from Bertie Ahern, Arlene Foster, The Priests to Phil Coulter, Carl Frampton and Dana.
