A DOWNPATRICK student has been given a special Entrance Exhibition Award from Trinity College, Dublin.
Fergal Mooney, who is studying Business, Economics and Social Studies at Trinity, is one of 527 new entrants to receive the award.
The award goes to the students who achieve the highest points among Trinity entrants from their secondary school, above a minimum of 500 CAO points.
Nineteen year-old Fergal, who is a former pupil of Down High School, will receive a certificate and a €150 book token.
