Flower arranging fun for Boardmills WI

Flower arranging fun for Boardmills WI

9 April 2025

THE ladies of Boardmills Women’s Institute have been embracing the spring season.

At their April meeting the members were treated to a flower arrangement demonstration by Sally Martin, who showed how to craft beautiful floral displays in cups and saucers.

The ladies eagerly took on the challenge, producing stunning arrangements to take home.

The WI’s knitting group has also been hard at work. Their latest project, a colourful spring post box topper, was unveiled at the Temple Spar and Service Station.

The topper features a nature scene complete with a bird’s nest, chicks, bunnies, and vibrant flowers, adding a touch of seasonal cheer in the local area.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, May 1, at 7.30pm at the Temple Golf Club. This special event promises an evening of music and craic, featuring performances by Brian Johnston and friends.

The meeting is open to all members of the community, both men and women, and there is no charge for admission. However, attendees are encouraged to make a donation, with all funds raised going towards supporting the local Motor Neurone Disease support group.
