‘THE King of Rock ’n’ Roll’ — Elvis Presley himself — is coming to Downpatrick next month.
The Great Hall at the Downshire Estate will be rocking when the St Patrick’s Choral Society stages its production of ‘All Shook Up’ from November 8-11.
The show is packed with Elvis songs which those of a certain age will remember and enjoy. The story is new but the tunes are not.
The society is delighted to be returning to the Great Hall after an absence of four years.
“Pre-Covid we performed at least twice a year for over 20 years in the Great Hall and have missed it so much,” a spokesperson said.
We have been rehearsing over the past few months and are now ready to entertain our public again.”
The production team of director Simon Pyper musical director Wilson Shields and choreographer Alex MacFarlane have been putting the very talented cast through their paces.
The result of their efforts will be a highly professional and hugely enjoyable singalong experience.
“So dust off your Blue Suede Shoes and spend One Night with us,” the spokesperson added. “Remember It's Now Or Never.”
